Kylie Baptism

Well It has come and been done. Kylie got baptized after church today. She was so excited but a little nervous too. It was very good. We started off by singing when I am baptized, I of course started crying the second we started singing, Then I said the opening prayer-- I think I should have said closing because the tears just wouldnt stop. One of the missionaries gave a talk on Baptism. Then we went to the font. We couldnt find the key to get the font doors unlocked. We finally did but it took a few minutes. Atu did a wonderful job baptizing Ky. It was very quick-- if you blinked you would have missed it;) Atu was dressed very quickly but he said the water wasnt very deep so he didnt have much to dry off. Kylie was pretty wet but we were still quick getting back up to the chapel. Grandpa Jim gave a talk on the holy ghost. Then Atu confirmed her with the holy ghost and a wonderful blessing. Atu gave the closing prayer then we ate refreshments. It was very good. I was a little worried when we started filling the font it was cold and wouldnt warm up. luckily it did a little but they keep the water low so that it would keep the warmth. We had a good time AND I am so glad its done!!! too much stress and work. We dont have too many baptisms so we do everything ourselves-- coming up with the program, talks, prayers, songs and then making refreshments... a lot of people stay because it is not often that we get baptisms. The primary presidency helped out with making some refreshments which was very awesome. Kylies dress turned out good...I was very impressed with my sewing. Anyways like I said I am glad its done.

The Weekend

On Saturday, I noticed Oriana had grown 2 more teeth. She now has 4 up top and on bottom. I think her teeth have grown in quickly. She has 8 before she is one.

I made my first bow. Oriana was wearing red and blue today and I dont have any headbands with red or dark blue. So I decided to make one. It wasnt too bad. It was fun so I may make so more.

Kylie had her Bishops interview for her baptism today. She was so excited! The bishop said she was ready and so happy. So now I just have to figure out something to get baptised in. Our ward house doesnt have too many baptisms so we arent equiped with all the sizes for white clothing.

My baby Sommer- well she is just sommer:) Nothing new really. She is getting more talkative and stubborn. She is maturing-- getting ready to attend school and all.

Adding to the list

I just wanted to add to the list of "things gone wrong while Atu's not here". I was told late notice that Kylie had her first Activity Girls activity today at 2 pm. We got all ready and went walking out the door at 1:40 pm. It was just up the road about 10 minutes, so I wasnt in a hurry. I went to start the Rodeo--my only working car-- and it WOULD NOT start! Jeez, I am on one this week. Luckily my neighbor was home and she jumped my car. I made it to the party a few minutes early:) So after I did my errands and came home, We(my neighbor and I) jumped my BMW so atleast I should have one working vehicle to take Ky to her Dental appt tomorrow.......hopefully two but atleast one;)

I am caught up

I dont think there is anything that I have left out. I hope you have fun reading!!

All goes Wrong.

Okay so I have had a rough week with Atu gone. I didn't know car stuff could be so stressful. Our car has to be registered and of course we waited last minute to get it inspected. Atu didn't think it would pass inspection with the hole in the muffler so we waited for that (which was a joke with customs and shipping companies over here!) to get in. Meanwhile Atu had ordered parts from Autozone and put them on before he left. I get the muffler in and am so grateful to be done with GDA, had it put on the car, took it to inspection and had it fail because of the E-Brake. I was stressed because if we would have inspected it we could have ordered it with the other stuff. Now I am on a time frame. I am calmed down now because there is nothing I can do about it. My car was at the shop waiting for the part to come in.--- I traded Sommer for Sydney(Ky's friend) on Sunday. I was ready to leave and met her mom up at base when my car wouldnt start!! Ya, completely DEAD!! I called up Whitney and she came to my rescue. I picked up the rodeo to go to the bowling alley--where I was meeting up to exchange the girls. We got all done bowling, I got Ori feed and she was drinking her sippy cup. We all (Mat, Whit, Ky, Som and I with Ori) starting walking out to get in the car. Mat and Whit were parked next to me. I put the baby in and put the diaper bag down, shut the door, and went to open mine. I couldn't!! All the doors were locked. I thought the girls had done it but only Ori was in the car. Somehow my car locked. I had to call the police to come slim jim my car--ugh! AAANNNDDD of course it started raining! I took about 25 minutes to get in my car. I had to sign a waiver but the officer that came didn't have it on him so we waited in the cold windy rain for someone to bring one. Then it still took them 10 minutes to get in the car. I felt bad for Ori--she had fallen asleep with her sippy--the car alarm went off when the door popped open. She was wakened by the loud noise. It wouldn't have been so bad but I had to find my key to turn off the alarm. So hopefully CRAP like this stops happening!! We are all good though:)

Kylie's Birthday

Wow!! Can you believe it? Kylie has just turned 8!! We had her birthday party today at the bowling alley. She invited 8 friends and Sommer brought a friend. There were so many little kids. I was a little stressed but it was from other people not really the kids. GRANTED I am tired from being with them all!! But we survived decorating the cake and getting there on time, dressed, and ready! We had a good time and might have to do it next month--hopefully, I can talk Sommer into something else;) Anyways Ky was so excited when i brought her gift in....Golf Clubs....I almost was knocked over, she was so thankful to us for them. It was cute--along with annoying because she was jumping up and down thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!! Now she has her own and Sommer has a little Iron too. So back to turning 8. I have been thinking about her baptism a lot lately but I dont think it quite hit until the bishop called to wish Ky "happy birthday" and me to ok the baptism date. WOW!! We have it set for the Saturday after Atu gets back and Grandpa Jim gets in. Coming up quick!! She is excited though. She has an appt with the Bishop on Sunday for her interview.

Kylies new hobby

Atu has been going golfing a lot lately. Kylie is taking an interest in it. I dont know how well she does but she has alot of fun doing it. Atu has takin her out golfing a couple times and she always comes back raving about it! She is so funny!! Golfing in now her new thing. She always wants to go-- I guess its good for Atu.... he could go all he wants with Kylie by his side;)

Atus Birthday!

So my baby turned 26 on the 6th of July! Wow we are getting older;) When we went swimming we found out they had mini-golf. The four of us (Mat, Whitney, Atu and I) went for his birthday. The course was so ghetto!! The course was cement. We had fun with it even though it was rough and some of the holes we impossible to shoot par on. Atu kept score so we all did really good. Mat is very competitive so it was funny to see when Atu said he lost! After that we went to Zils which is a german restuarant-brewery. We were outside and the atmosphere was fun, loud music and a fusball table. We had yummy food and played a couple of games while we waited on our food. Then of course had to have ice cream so we went to the Eis Cafe in Speicher which has really yummy ice cream. It was nice to go out for his birthday and not worry about the girls. We had a Blast!! I have posted some photos.

Fourth of July

We had a great fourth of July!! We went swimming with Mat and Whitney. There is an outdoor pool in the next town over. It cost 2 euros to get in. It has alot of things to do. They have a kiddie pool thats perfect for Sommer and Ori. However, Kylie loves the others-- diving board, platform, hot tub, slides, food stand (with ice cream), playground, tons of grass to lay out on. We had a blast. We stayed for a few hours then showered and BBQ at their house. It was funny I was red, Mat was burnt(!!), and Atu had some red. The girls of course got sun but was tan the next morning. I was good a couple days later. But Atu and Mat stayed red the longest, then peeled:) We went to base around 10 pm because fireworks didnt start until 1030-ish. We watched and then headed home because we were so exhausted. We slept very good that night!!

I really love my new camera!! I should it cost a pretty penny but anyways! I am making a picture collage of the girls with my new camera. I forgot to charge my battery so I could only take a few compared to what I was thinking....and the worst part...it was a perfect day to take pictures-- the sun was shinning but there were clouds to make the lighting better--ugh my perfect chance and I forget to charge my battery!! Anyways I will add more to this album when the perfect day comes again!

Clown Fish

Kylie did so good at her program. I was so impressed with her lines and actions!! She was a clown fish. She wore a multicolored "clown" wig. She is very much a leader, making sure everything is running smoothly or if anyone forgets their line she knows them. She could do the whole play herself!!

VolksMarch

Ok so about two weeks ago Kylie asked us to do a "fitness walk" on the 30th of May. We had a huge thunderstorm last night that woke me up and Atu's allergies have been horrible which have caused him to weeze at night. He had to be to work early but he couldnt breath so he was up by 3:30. Anyways so I ended up not checking in with Ky for the walk so I got stuck behind the class and the rest of the parents. I was feeling lonely because Atu wasnt there, because of flooding problems on the base, but he said he would catch up with me. He did catch up about a kilo into it but he was worse than he was at 3 am. Atu and I tried to catch up with Ky but because he was weezing and not breathing we kept slow trying to catch kylie when she headed back toward us. We finally did but then she took off again because we were walking to slow--li'l punk;) Anyways Atu and I walked about 8k. I was very nervous because he sounded so bad and little ole me felt tiny because I was feeling lonely and wanted Atu there. Isnt that horrible, so selfish-- Im glad to say Atu made a drs appt and now has all his inhalers and allergy pills!!! So it all worked out in the end:)

my baby girl

So Oriana has learned to be up on all fours to crawl!! She is so cute and now seems to be pulling herself up on everything. Man she is a busy girl:) She is getting so big-- she is 28 inches long and weighs 17lbs 8oz. She has finally broke through her top two teeth. Of course, she loves to eat. I think we have tried most every kind of vegetable and fruit. Yes, she very much doesnt like peas!! She is a very happy girl and loves to laugh. We are so blessed to have her!!

Our Story

Hello-- My name is Jessica. I married my sweetheart Atu Lealiifano. We got married March 17, 2001 in the Mt Timpanogus Temple. We have three little girls, Kylie, Sommer and Oriana. My husband joined the US Air Force in October 2003. We are living in Germany right now and have just under a year to go. We are not sure where our next journey will be but I am sure it will be great!! The AF has been a great experience so far and we'll probably make a career out of it.

Right now we are finishing up all the girls' extra curricular activities (ie. Dance, Coach pitch, Girl Scouts). The older girls had such a great time in dance and their recitals were so cute! Now, Kylie is playing ball and is great at it!! She loves pitcher position even though she doesnt pitch. Im sure she will stay with it for years to come! School gets out mid June for Kylie but Sommer will go until July because she is still in the German Kindergarten. In July, Kylie is turning 8!! So a baptism will be in order!! Then, Sommer will be 5 and start kindergarten this year:( Which Kylie is so excited that Sommer will ride the bus with her to school next year. Of course Sommer is happy she gets to ride the bus to school. Oriana will turn 1! She is growing up so fast. She has her own crawling style right now. If you think military low crawl thats pretty much how it looks. She is very fast and can get anywhere. Also, she pulls herself up so she can stand by the furniture and in her crib.

Other than the girls we are pretty much the same. Atu is in school. I am hoping to start back to school when summer is over. We are doing great, waiting for our next assignment!!!
